IT Training
Comprehensive training is provided on all Trust systems. In addition we offer the opportunity for all staff to undertake the ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence) qualification, a popular programme with many of staff who wish to gain confidence with IT or enhance existing IT skills.
NVQ's
The Trust is dedicated to its successful NVQ programme, which provides the opportunity for staff to undertake a nationally recognised qualification whilst in employment. These qualifications are well supported by both our dedicated training team and management throughout the Trust and this has assisted over120 staff to complete NVQ programmes in the last two years alone. Level 2 qualifications take between 6 months and 1 year to complete while Level 3 qualifications take between 12 and 18 months.

- Business and Administration Level 2 & 3
- Housekeeping Level 2 & 3
- We are looking to further enhance our offering by introducing NVQ’s in Support Services to cover
- Portering, Security and Catering staff.
External Courses
Our close links with the Universities of Bristol and West of England and local colleges (Weston and Bridgwater) enables us to offer courses that include:
- Sponsorship to undertake the BSc Hons. in Pre-Registration Nursing
- Diploma courses
- Degree courses
- ENB courses
- Other professional qualifications
