From a typically quaint, English fishing village, Weston has grown to become one of the country's most popular seaside destinations. Miles of highly-praised golden sands are complemented by lively bars, popular restaurants and, of course, the famous pier. Typical summer activities, from all kinds of watersports to donkey rides on the beach, are enhanced by a year-round menu of things to see and do, from arts and jazz festivals through plays and musicals at the Playhouse Theatre and Winter Gardens, to amusement parks and beyond. Whatever your interest, whether outdoors or in, there's lots to keep you busy all year round.

North Somerset, the surrounding county, has fabulous coastline with breathtaking cliff tops and superb English countryside, sprinkled with plenty picture prefect pretty, rural villages. Additionally Bristol and Bath are easily accessible along with the towns of Wells, Taunton and Glastonbury, home to the annual rock festival. The area really does offer such variety that all lifestyles can be easily catered for, and the location of the hospital just of the M5 means many of these locations are viable for commuting from as well, as many of our staff do.

 

Our nearest city – Bristol

The capital of the Southwest and home to everything you would expect from a 21st century, cosmopolitan city. Bristol's deep-rooted maritime heritage and long, varied history set the cultural agenda, while the pubs, bars and nightclubs keep the atmosphere exciting. Now home to a large university presence and thriving media environment, Bristol is a renowned centre for innovation and the arts. There's plenty to cater for every taste.

And while you're enjoying the best of what the city has to offer, you can also revel in the fact that commuting to Weston is easy too. Whether going by train, bus or car, you'll find that at busy times you're going the opposite way to the mainly Bristol bound traffic. Which makes for a much smoother journey all round.
